　Hinamatsuri at Hobara Museum of History and Culture ・ 保原歴史文化資料館でひな祭り　2018年2月8日

One particularly well known celebration in Japan is that of Hinamatsuri, the festival of dolls. During this celebration, families with young girls decorate their houses with beautiful dolls to pray for health and happiness. Long ago, a practice arose in Izu, Shizuoka where families who could not afford these dolls would make tsurushibina, hanging dolls, to decorate their houses, and this practice has since spread across Japan.

 　日本のお祝いと言えば、ひな祭りが特に良く知られています。健康と喜びをお祝うために、若い女の子が居る家でひな人形を飾ります。昔、静岡県の伊豆で、人形を購入出来なかった家でつるしびなを作り始まりました。

The Hobara Museum of History and Culture is currently hosting a small, but elegant collection of dolls both old and new. Visitors can make origami tsurushibina, and have them displayed along with the dolls in the former Kameoka family residence. The display will continue until March 31^st.

　保原歴史文化資料館で小さくても優雅な雛人形展示を開催しています。そして、折り紙「つるしびな」ワークショップを行っています。つるしびなを作りましたら、旧亀岡家で飾ることも出来ます。展示は3月31日まで行っています。
