Japanese Language Class ・ 日本語講座

In mid-January a language class was held.
1月中旬に言語講座を実施しました。

This time, I taught Japanese, to foreigners living within the city!
今回は、市内に住んでいる外国人の方に日本語を教えました!

The class was held in the Silk Hall of Date City Hall's Hobara Main Office.
講座は伊達市役所保原本庁舎で行われました。

Two participants kindly showed up.
2人の参加者が来てくださいました。

With Lara's help, I taught roughly two dozen vocabulary items, while discussing important aspects of life in Japan.
ララと一緒に、日本の生活について話し合いながら約24個の単語を教えました。

We first talked about garbage.
最初、ゴミについて話しました。

We studied the terms used to classify waste, such as "burnable garbage" (moyaseru-gomi) and "large-size refuse" (sodai-gomi).
「燃やせるゴミ」や「粗大ゴミ」等、ゴミを区別する名前を勉強しました。

Lara had prepared an activity where the participants sorted garbage into the five primary groups.
ララは、講座参加者がゴミを五つの主な区別に分ける活動の準備をしてくれました。

We used both real waste, as well as pictures of waste.
ゴミの絵も、本物のゴミも使いました。

We also talked about traffic laws, and learned to call a green light "blue" (aoi).
交通の決まりについても同様に話し、信号機の緑色の灯を「青い」と呼ぶように習いました。

Finally, we talked about what to do during a disaster.
最後に、災害時の対応について話しました。

Overall, the class was lots of fun!
全体的に、この講座がとっても楽しかったです!

I look forward to continue teaching languages other than English in the future.
将来、英語以外の言語をまた教えたいです。

It is planned that Japanese language classes will be held periodically from April onward, so please join us then!
4月以降にはまた定期的に日本語講座を実施する予定ですので、その時は是非、ご参加を!
