Receiving my Fukushima Kenmin Card ・ ふくしま健民カード受賞

I have been participating in the Healthy and Happy Date Point Program (please see the October 2020 update), and this month I received my first Fukushima Kenmin Card.

僕は伊達市の「だてな健幸ポイント事業」に参加しており(国際交流員日記2020年10月)、今月初めてのふくしま健民カードをもらいました。

Recently, I have been walking a lot to gain points.

最近、ポイントを貯めるためにたくさん歩いています。

In addition, I have been trying to fulfill my personal health goal of stretching daily.

さらに、毎日のストレッチで、自分の毎日の健康づくり目標を達成するように頑張っています。 

Having accumulated enough health points to qualify for the Normal Card, I handed over my application at the Hobara Health Center.

ノーマルカードがもらえるよう十分なポイントを貯めていましたので、保原保健センターに記入台紙を提出しました。

The staff kindly checked it for me.

職員の方が親切に確認してくださいました。

I then filled out the application for a card.

それでカードの申請をしました。

At last, I received my Fukushima Kenmin Card!

ついに、僕のふくしま健民カードを手に入れました!

I was also taught about where to use it, and how to attain the next card, at the silver level.

カードの使い方や次のシルバーカードを取得する方法についても教えて頂きました。

I look forward to using my card, as well as getting my silver card in the near future!

今回もらったカードの利用、そして近いうちに次のカードを得る事を楽しみしています!

Tasting “Mofet” ・　Mofet 試食

The other day I ate a delicious peach madeleine.

この間、美しい桃のマドレーヌを食べました。

The packaging alone is sufficiently splendid, and merely beholding it brought me much happiness.

箱だけで十分立派なので、見ただけで嬉しくなりました。

The name, “mofet”, is made from the English words moist, soft, and sweet.

 品名のmofet (モフェット)は英語のmoist (しっとり), soft (やらわか), そしてsweet (甘い・優しい)からつくった言葉です。

The recipe for the madeleines was thought up by students of Futaba Future School’s High School, and further arranged by pastry chef Akama from pastry shop Patisserie Allumette in Date City.

マドレーヌは、ふたば未来学園高校の生徒が考えたレシピを伊達市内の洋菓子店「パティスリーアリュメット」の赤間シェフパティシエがアレンジしました。

The product name and packaging has been the responsibility of Hobara High School’s Art Club.

商品名とパッケージは、保原高校美術部の生徒が担当しています。

Inside the peach-shaped package are five delicious-looking madeleines.

桃の箱の中には美味しそうなマドレーヌが五つあります。

Just as the name claims, the texture is soft and moist; and they have the shape of a clamshell.

品名通り、生地がしっとりとやらわかく、貝殻の形をしています。

Moist, soft … are they truly sweet?

しっとりとやらわかい・・・本当に甘いですか?

I was looking forward to trying one!

食べることを楽しみにしていました!

The taste exceeded my expectations.

美味しさが僕の予想を越えました。

Though not nearly as sweet as American “sweets”, it was a perfect combination of gentle sweetness and juicy peach flavor.

アメリカのスイーツほど甘くはなかったですが、やさしい甘さとみずみずしい桃の味の完璧な組み合わせでした。

I recommend these as a thoughtful gift, and a perfect souvenir from Fukushima!

心がこもった贈り物,そして福島からのぴったりのお土産として、お勧めです!
